Workshop: A Space Between the Stars
Gather. Create. Connect. Your hand-stitched square becomes part of a large-scale collective work assembled by artist Santé Johnson — unveiled at Riverviews Artspace on June 26.
Art is most powerful when it reflects a community — not just one artist's vision, but many hands, many stories, woven together. "A Space Between the Stars" is a series of facilitated textile workshops connected to Santé Johnson's exhibition, "How Will Our Ancestors Find Us?" Simply choose the date that works best for you and come ready to create.
In each session, you'll create your own fabric square using a mix of techniques — stitching, painting, beading, and more — choosing the approach that feels right to you. Facilitators trained by Santé will guide and support your creative process every step of the way. No experience necessary. Whether you come alone or bring a group, your square will be incorporated into the finished work — your voice and presence part of the show.
Pick your date:
Saturday, April 25: 1–4:30 pm (facilitator: Jill Jensen)
Saturday, May 9: 1–4:30 pm (facilitator: Karen Langseth)
Thursday, May 14: 5–8:30 pm (facilitator: Robert Locklear)

Saturday, May 30: 1–4:30 pm (facilitator: Pamela Winegard)
