For over 20 years, Riverviews Artspace has been the home for contemporary art in Central Virginia.
Riverviews Artspace is an educational gallery in downtown Lynchburg, dedicated to contemporary art and the people who make it. General admission is always free.
The gallery exists not to sell, but to teach, to spark dialogue, and to support living artists — treating art as a catalyst for learning, curiosity, and connection.
Through changing exhibitions, on-site artist studios, and public programs, Riverviews invites the community to encounter new work, exchange ideas, and see the world differently.

From a renovated shoe warehouse to the heart of Lynchburg's creative life — Riverviews was born from the vision of local artists who believed downtown Lynchburg deserved a home for contemporary art. More than two decades later, we're still carrying that spirit forward, proud of where we've been and energized by what's ahead. As a nonprofit, we keep our galleries free, our studios affordable, and our doors open to everyone.
