Internships
Our internships offer hands-on experience at one of Lynchburg's most dynamic creative organizations—tailored to where you want to go.
Grow your practice.
Shape your career.
Whether you're a college student seeking academic credit, a recent graduate, or an emerging artist building your resume, an internship at Riverviews puts you inside a working arts organization with real responsibilities and impact.
What to Expect
No two Riverviews internships look the same, and that's by design. We work with each intern to shape an experience that aligns with your artistic interests and professional goals. Depending on your focus, you might find yourself:
Supporting exhibition development from concept to opening night
Assisting with artist communications, grant research, or program coordination
Contributing to marketing, social media, and community outreach
Helping plan and facilitate workshops, events, and educational programming
Getting behind-the-scenes exposure to arts administration and nonprofit operations
You'll work closely with Riverviews staff, connect with visiting artists, and leave with a portfolio of real work—not just tasks.
Who Should Apply
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. You don't need a degree in fine arts to thrive here, just curiosity, initiative, and a genuine interest in the arts.
You might be a great fit if you're:
A college or university student looking to earn academic credit
A recent graduate exploring careers in the arts
An artist or creative professional seeking organizational experience
Someone who wants to contribute to Lynchburg's cultural life
